About the event
Clean Hydrogen is becoming more and more important for Europe to achieve its goals of fighting climate change, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and securing strategic independence. It has the potential to contribute to the development of efficient, sustainable and flexible energy systems helping to tackle the energy crisis and the Green Deal objectives. The clean hydrogen economy can be seen as a “best practice” sector where synergies and complementarities among different EU funding programmes - through their respective calls for proposals (e.g. Hydrogen Public Funding Compass) - have been explored to accelerate the research, innovation and market uptake, in line with the renewed European hydrogen policy framework. This GIURI Open will provide a comprehensive overview on EU funding programmes to support the hydrogen economy, starting from the research and innovation perspective and also offering a selection of initiatives and instruments from the whole EU funding landscape.
